Stephen Blewett assumes the position of CEO at MTN Ghana

Stephen Blewett, an experienced executive in the telecommunications industry, officially becomes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN Ghana as of April 2024, succeeding Selorm Adadevoh, who now serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of MTN Group.

Blewett's appointment coincides with a crucial phase for the company as it pursues its 'Ambition 2025' strategy, aiming to evolve from a conventional telecommunications provider into a comprehensive digital services entity.

Prior to this role, Blewett served as the Operations Executive for Markets at MTN, overseeing the Group's operations in smaller West and Central African markets. His expertise extends beyond MTN, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Digicel, where he further refined his skills in the industry.

Blewett's tenure at MTN has been distinguished, having held CEO positions at MTN Benin and MTN Cameroon. These experiences have afforded him a profound understanding of the African telecom landscape, including its challenges and opportunities.

Under Blewett's leadership, MTN Ghana aims to prioritize enhancing digital customer experiences, expanding the fintech ecosystem, and fostering sustainable growth. These objectives align with MTN Group's broader vision of spearheading digital solutions for Africa's advancement.
